MOTORCULT EPISODE 31 IS LIVE
On this episode of the MotorCult podcast we drink Grain Belt Nordeast because all of our other beer is warm and we watch the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
We talk highlights including the 150 MPH Honda Mean Mower, the Aston Martin Cygnet V8, a Bugatti 35B being hooned at ten tenths and a touring car driver drifting a Mk1 Jaguar Sedan. Of course we can’t forget the most ludicrous car, the Beast of Turin, a 28 liter 4 cylinder Fiat featuring a dirigible engine.
In news, Super Street Magazine announced a Super Street video game, Toyota debuts their new Supra and BMW releases their land yacht, the new M8. We also discuss the new Tesla Model 3 configurator and the average car buyer age being a whopping 52 years old.
We touch on coachbuilt cars and how they’re still relevant along with the debut of the limited edition Italdesign built Nissan GTR50. This discussion goes into what modern car we would get coachbuilt if we had the choice.
Drive Cartel also had their first Cars and Crafts of the year at Flat Earth brewing and we discuss how excellent that show is.
Finally we rounded out the final Group matches of the World Cup of Cars. Poland’s Fiat Polski 126p was unopposed from Senegal which doesn’t have a car industry and Columbia’s SOFASA Renault 9 battles Japan’s C10 Hakosuka Skyline GT-R in a David vs Goliath fight.
